CIL Network Council Meeting
Saturday, 10th October, Limerick Strand Hotel
All CIL Network Council representatives are invited to attend a meeting of their Council on Saturday the 10th of October in the Limerick Strand Hotel. This meeting is open to all interested CIL delegates. However any matters that require voting, e.g. the approval of the Council Terms of Reference, will be closed to CIL elected Council representatives only.
The agenda for this meeting is as follows:
- 11.00 am: Welcome Address
- 11.15 am: Keynote Address: The Economic Downturn a Political Perspective
- 12.15pm: Update on CIL CMH meeting with Minister John Moloney
- 12.45pm: CIL Pre-Budget Submission 2009
- 13.15pm: Direct Payments a Working Case Study
- 13.45pm: CIL Network Council Sign-Off
- 14.00pm: Meeting Close
Keynote speakers at this meeting include:
- David Stanton, TD, Cork East, Fine Gael Spokesperson on Disability Issues and Dáil Reform
- Kathleen Lynch, TD, Labour Party, Cork North Central
- Garry Toner, Direct Payments Recipient
All CILs are urged to ensure that their CIL is represented at this meeting. This is your final opportunity to feed into our pre-budget submission (please see attached) which will be completed at this Council gathering. Please ensure that you join us at 11.00am in the O’Brien Wogan Suite at Level 6 of the Limerick Strand Hotel on Saturday. Tea and coffee will be available from 10.30am with lunch served at 2pm.
If you have not already submitted the names of your Council representatives please ensure that your do so by sending them to Susan at susanobrien@dublincil.org prior to this meeting.
